Greetings.
This is the twelfth in a series of DAILY NANCY UPDATES I will be posting until the amazing Nancy Neufeld Callaway is in full remission and we have kicked her leukemia on its ass.

BREAKING NEWS
In addition to other regular chemo treatments, Nancy has also started taking a targeted chemo pill every day for her rare Philadelphia chromosomal strain of leukemia (so named for its discovery at University of Pennsylvania in 1959). The doctors continue to be impressed by her strong response to treatment and her disposition is ridiculously positive. What else can you expect from the Sunshiny Superwarrior Goddess?
HEADLINES
Cozy Nan Cutie
This is Nancy curled up in a new cozy blanket that our friends Alisa and Emily just gave her. I've honestly never seen anyone have a better attitude about being cooped up in the same room for a month. She's amazing.
TODAY'S HURDLE
She's tired. Hasn't slept this little since we had babies. The longest stretch she ever gets is between 12:30 and 4am-- but even that is spotty, thanks to the constant visits of nurses through the night. So tonight when you're getting ready for bed yourselves-- please think good thoughts and/or send up a prayer or two that Nancy will enjoy a peaceful night's rest. Thankzzzzzz...
WE LOVE NANCY AND WE WILL NOT BE DEFEATED.
We do indeed love her! ❤
ReplyDeleteYou look so warm, cozy and I'll add adorable. Surely you'll get some sleep with your new blanket. I'm glad Trey started this blog so we can keep up since we're 2000 miles away. We send our love and prayers your way every day. I hope you feel them! :) Love you!
ReplyDeleteYour strength is astonishing. Your courage inspiring. And your wit, well, it's just annoying. Writers across the city are struggling to find the perfect punchline and you've got your friends and family in stitches with the funny side of chemo and your budding relationship with Clark. Hilarious. Get well. Come home. The West Valley is entirely too quiet without you. Buckets of love, Faye & David
ReplyDeleteYou are adorable, Nancy!
ReplyDeleteTrey, thank you for this blog. It is wonderful! Although I wish there were never a need for you to create it, I'm grateful to be able to keep in the loop with Nancy's progress and your family. You are all very dear to my heart. My love and prayers, Susan
I still can't visit because I'm still coughing but Amy is coming to visit on Monday (spoiler alert!) and bringing some of my collection of funny movies that could put you to sleep with a smile on your face. As always sending the best vibes there are. xxx and ooo
