DAILY NANCY UPDATE #3

Greetings.

This is the third in a series of DAILY NANCY UPDATES I will be posting until the amazing Nancy Neufeld Callaway is in full remission and we have kicked her leukemia on its ass.

BREAKING NEWS

Nancy has been officially diagnosed with B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia by our crack team of doctors at UCLA. So last night, the Sunshiny Superwarrior Goddess officially began her first round of intense chemotherapy.

She was told she would have a rough time sleeping. But playing back some guided meditation she had recorded earlier during a visit from her beloved "Soulstice Sisters" turned out to be twice as powerful-- sending her off to a full night of much needed rest.

She also had some amazing blood transfusions this morning. Why amazing? Think about it. All kinds of people from all over the world literally gave the most critical parts of themselves-- their blood-- as a straight-from-the-heart gift to help a stranger. Except Nancy is no stranger. So she accepted their gift with the same love it was sent and for a girl who's been bombarded by drugs-- is doing remarkably well.

Two of the powerful chemo medicines in her first customized three drug cocktail have now begun being administered. The third-- which required a special order for a particularly special woman-- should arrive and be administered tonight.

HEADLINES

Heartfelt thanks and humble apologies if you've already sent them. But it turns out Nancy can't have any flowers in her room at the hospital. In fact, they can't be kept anywhere on the leukemia ward. As beautiful as they are-- live plants contain bacteria that isn't good for chemo patients with compromised immune systems.

TODAY'S HURDLE

She's having to deal with some swelling from both medications and fluid-- so she's uncomfortable. But she met with a nutritionist about some ways to hopefully combat that-- and this evening, she's meeting with another meditation expert for some helpful hints on how to stay focused on staying strong and getting well as soon as possible.

POSTSCRIPT

This is really hard. Like maximum suckage. We miss her very much. But meals are magically arriving at our home. Calls, texts, emails, voicemails, and cards are buoying all our spirits like you can't possibly imagine. Please don't be hurt or offended if we're slow in acknowledging each of you. But you know who you are. And please know that we love you for all that you're doing.

WE LOVE NANCY AND WE WILL NOT BE DEFEATED.
