DAILY NANCY UPDATE #34

Greetings.

This is the thirty-fourth in a series of DAILY NANCY UPDATES I will be posting until the amazing Nancy Neufeld Callaway is in full remission and we have kicked her leukemia on its ass.

BREAKING NEWS

Well, unfortunately, Nancy's woozy-headachy-exhausted state got progressively worse over the weekend. So this afternoon, our sweet friend Karen drove Nancy back to UCLA for an outpatient procedure called a "blood patch." Apparently, when you've had a lumbar puncture like she had last week-- sometimes spinal fluid can continue to leak from the internal wound-- causing the exact kind of symptoms Nancy has been experiencing. So today doctors injected some of her own blood back into the area-- which then coagulates, creating a natural bandage. And the great news is, Nancy now reports she is feeling markedly better already. So please keep your fingers crossed and all those good thoughts and prayers coming for her to get her sea legs back before we dive back into another round of chemo on Friday.

WE LOVE NANCY and...

ALL IS WELL!
