Greetings.
This is the one hundred and fifth in a series of DAILY NANCY UPDATES I will be posting until the amazing Nancy Neufeld Callaway is in full remission and we have kicked her leukemia on its ass.

MONDAY REPORT
I'm so happy right now I could pop.
So is Clemmy. And Crockett. And Cosmo.
Because along with our sweet friend Rikki, all of us got to see Nancy really start to come alive again today.
First, she had visits from Dr. Forman and her neurologist, Dr. Prakash. And both were excited to see her alert and engaging with them in basic conversation, clearly aware of what was going on.
Then, she had occupational therapy-- where they got her to sit up, do some stretches, take a sip of water, then brush her own teeth, and wash her own face.
After that, she had a visit from the swallow consultant-- who offered Nancy some tuna and crackers, which she not only enthusiastically ate on her own-- but which officially got her upgraded from "puree only" to a "soft" diet.
Next, she had a visit from her endocrinologist, during which she was very talkative. But not just talking-- joking.
Case in point: after the doctor detailed all the things she's been through over the past 12 days, she immediately replied: "Wow... sounds expensive."
And best of all... she got a visit from all three of her favorite young people in the world.
And best of all... she got a visit from all three of her favorite young people in the world.
She got to catch up with Clementine, Crockett, and Cosmo-- each of them telling her what they've been up to. Each of them making her smile.
And one more thing... while talking to the kids, she kept repeatedly squeezing my hand three times... in a secret code between us that just a few days ago, I feared she might've forgotten.
We still have a long way to go. And tomorrow might be harder than today. But today? Wow. What a wonderful day. And what an amazing woman the Sunshiny Superwarrior Goddess truly is.
WE LOVE NANCY, and...
ALL IS WELL!
